This is a non-binding English translation of the legally binding German Datenschutzerklärung, provided under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. General information on data processing
I process personal data of the users of this website only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and my content and services. Processing generally takes place with the user's consent, to take steps prior to entering into a contract, or on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(a), (b) or (f) GDPR).
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by IONOS. When you access the website, the hosting provider automatically collects information in so-called server log files transmitted by your browser (e.g. IP address, date and time of the request, browser type, operating system). This data is used exclusively to ensure smooth operation and to secure the systems (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is automatically deleted after a short period.
In addition, I evaluate the server log files in aggregated form via the statistics feature provided by IONOS, to find out how often and via which sources my website is visited. No cookies are set and no user profiles are created in the process; the evaluation takes place exclusively server-side at IONOS. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation of the use of my website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Fonts
This website uses the fonts “Lora” and “DM Sans”. They are stored locally on this website’s server and loaded from there. No connection to servers of Google or any other third party is made.
5. Booking appointments via cal.com
For online appointment booking I use the service cal.com provided by Cal.com, Inc., 2261 Market Street #4382, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. When you book an appointment via “Book a call”, the data you enter (e.g. name, email address, selected appointment, any notes) is processed in order to organise and hold the appointment. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract).
Cal.com processes this data on my behalf; a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cal.com. In the process, data may be transferred to the USA. This transfer is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) and, to the extent Cal.com is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).
I store booking data for as long as it is needed to handle the appointment and any follow-up questions, or as long as statutory retention obligations apply. Further information can be found in the cal.com privacy policy.
6. Contact by email
If you contact me by email, your details (email address, and if applicable your name and message) will be stored by me for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). I will not pass on this data without your consent.
7. Contact by phone
The phone number given on this website leads to a voicemail. If you leave a message, your phone number (if transmitted), the time of the call and the content of your message are processed. The recording is forwarded by my router by email via my email provider IONOS to my mailbox and then deleted from the router. I use this data solely to handle your request and to call you back (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete the message as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose.
8. Cookies
This website currently does not use any tracking or marketing cookies. Should this change in the future (e.g. through the integration of analytics tools), this privacy policy will be updated accordingly and — if required — consent will be obtained via a consent banner.
9. Your rights
You have the right at any time to request information about the personal data stored about you by me, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the processing. You also have the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability. If you have any questions, you can contact me at any time using the email address given in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
